MSFS Landing Page where we collect all MSFS news, articles, etc. MSFS Message Forum where you can ask questions and talk about the sim. Now whant I turn on the autopilot and Nada I know this is an obvious question to most of you but please help me out so I wont yell at my monitor anymore. If you are in NAV mode then you need to set frequency and course for autopilot to guide you to the VOR. Alternatively you can set the heading bug and active autopilot and HDG button guide to the heading. The FSX lessions have a detailed explanation of default autopilot operation. In order 1: Load flightplan and engage IFR from the ATC menu. Set NAV mode on ap 4: Set NavGPS switch to GPS (or in the case of the Carenado Centurion, switch the VLOC setting on the GPS to GPS) 5: You still have to set climb attitude and altitude manually. Make sure the course line is visible in the GPS map (it should be when the flight plan is loaded), and make sure that nav 1 is tuned to the GPS (if not press the cdi button on the GPS to shift to GPS navigation). Then turn on the autopilot and press the nav button on the autopilot. ![]() ![]() Anything else is not relevant - frequencies, etc do not matter. Just those two items will let the GPS follow the flight plan.
